What navigation system is better PIONEER AVIC-D1or eclipse avn 5495???

I personally prefer Eclipse. That model you listed has a build in HDD for the navi software, and also includes phone number listings as well. I like it that is has a 30GB hdd, 10 used for navi, the other 20 for ripping your cd's to the HDD for listening to. Not to mention the fact that if you want to play DVD's, the eclipse has it build in.
Also, I have the 5435, which does navi off DVD, and I like it a lot. In depth, easy to use, redirects in less than 5 seconds should I need to use a diff path.

 

AVN-7000....just because it can do everything.

Of course, not getting that one, I'd still say the Eclipse.

 

IMO the Pioneer.
They are cheap compared to the eclipse. Since you said navigation system, I think the pioneer is better because of the navi traffic.
Only thing I dont like is you need a external dvd player to play dvd's

I heard the AVIC-Z1 is coming out soon

 

PIONEER AVIC-D1 has better navi.

uhhh there are many like it. This is the only thing I search on...................... Now I feel like a mod! Use the search function. I type "Nav". But navigation for all the new people. I want to find any comments on nav till I get one!

might as well keep this thread alive and make this the mother navigation thread. and sticky this...

 

make this the little sister of threads.........the only thing that'll make me sticky this one as opposed to the ten other post i have under "my post" section under my name would be if some one put a link to a video file of them using the freaking system, a picture of a 5495, avn 7000 or D1 N2 installed with pics of something interesting displayed on it.

I swear, once people get their nav installed, they just for gettabout those still LONGing for one. Sort of like we do to those on the waiting list for their Scion once we get ours? Am I right? POST SOME INSTALLS or no sticky for you!

Oh forbid a detailed review of one!?!
