Attention all Scion Evolution Nor*Cal chapter members, and those interested in joining Scion Evolution.

2006 will bring some changes to the Nor*Cal Chapter.

The Core members/Chapter Representatives are now Dave (Evildave), and Tim (Scionsniper).

There will soon be bi-monthly meetings for SE Nor*Cal members, and details will be posted in the next month or so.

An email newsletter will also be sent prior to, and after a meeting. The purpose of the newsletter is to keep EVERYONE in the chapter informed and to keep an open line of communication.

If you are interested in joining SE, please contact any member or one of the three of us. Applications will be endorsed by Dave (Evildave) and Tim (Scionsniper) This way, the reps we will have their contact info, can update our records, and track the status of the application.

I'll be working on renewing my membership over the next few days. It is not 100% clear what I am supposed to do to renew and I never received a ID card so I don't know what my membership number is. I'll get it worked out.

Altough I am not part of the Nor Cal family, I am part of the SE family. The benefit is what you make of it. Plain and simple. If you want to be sold on the idea, go to a few meet & greets, get to know the people and after awhile you won't have any questions.

It isn't so much what do I get, as much as What's next.

It's not about being better, it's about being an example.

It's EVERYTHING about what I bring to the table in the terms of participation.

Really, go to a few meet & greets, get to know the people..... Whether you pay 40 bucks to join a club or pay 40 bucks for stickers and a shirt in a free club, you spent 40 bucks. If that is the ONLY thing that matters to you, then worry about it. You can hang out for free, nobody will care if you are member except you.......

I guarantee you, if you joun another club, nobody from SE will EVER say you were wrong for making your choice..... but if you join SE AND PARTICPATE, you will have a great time.

We are here to have fun, whether you join SE or another club. So go out and have some fun.

I know those guys in So-cal, they are nice, friendly and fun to be around.

Kelly is right, and No Kelly, you did not jack my thread! (I hope things are good on your end up in Oregon!)

Plus you get additional discounts thru certain vendors and manufacturers and will be able to participate in member only events.

One example, all of the SE Nor*Cal members I knew were able to display their cars for free at Import Motion this past February on behalf of Scion Corp.

There are also events in SoCal that only SE members get to particapte in, like last year's Scion Drags w/ tCs, or the display at the XDL Show last weekend for Longo Scion.

 

What about transferability. If I join one region, will my membership transfer to another region? I move ALOT!

 

Scion Evolution is a nation-wide club. The regions are only for organizational purposes. Just post up when you're moving and the new group will look out for ya.

 

yup yup... i moved recently from san diego back to san jose.... granted the community up here, i have to admit, isn't as crazy and involved... but everyone still knows everyone, and we're one big happy family.. (granted i wish we could do more things on a weekly basis (the guys in san diego meet every saturday!!)) *sigh*.... hehehe... oh well.

 

I just went to the SE website. I don't see a Region for Louisiana. Would it be best to join here in Nor-Cal and just transfer my membership to the nearest chapter? This is going to get confusing...LOL. Maybe someone can PM me for more info?

 

just pm ed ya brad ..and wow didnt know it was free for import motion or even that there was anything going on last week at longo ??well how will i know when i have to pay my yearly due?cant remmeber when i joined? maybe some one will call me to let me know??

 

David, the list was already sent it for Import Motion before you joined. The list was sent in december prior to the Stevens Creek event when I pre-approved your application.

Sorry, but I will NOT be a SE Nor*Cal chapter rep and will not be a part of the Nor*Cal region. I will remain w/ the SE Core Group and my affiliation w/ the SoCal chapter.

I thought some things would change, but once again past practices have once again surfaced.

I will forward all of the info I have to Evildave and Scionsniper.

 

I just hope that things will be kept professional. I am here on scionlife and part of SE because I love it here. With the three of you as the heads, I know that there will be no more bad intrusions with topics and Signitures.
