Default Is it possible to turn off the seatbelt beep for the xB?

Ok. I know this has been covered a million times for the tC, but I can't find anyone who's done it for the xB. I've searched for quite awhile, and know the code for the tC by heart. It works just fine on my buddy's tC, but not for my xB. Is there a different sequence to turn this off? Or am I just plain stuck...

Well the xB folks are probably looking in the xB forums, so...

Mods, you MAY want to move this...

Happy New Year!

I get in the car, turn it on, get the music going, then buckle my seatbelt. The beep just annoys me.

Exactly. I'm a firefighter, and a firm believer that seatbelts and airbags save lives everyday. I do, however, turn my car on, then fiddle with my mp3 player/do other things before fastening the belt and driving off. It beeps about 10 times then stops. I'd just like to shut it off And to whoever posted the link above, it WILL NOT work on my xB. My roomate has the tC and it works just fine. I've tried it literally 20 times on mine. It does not work. I wouldn't be posting this if it did, because there are already a million other posts about it for the tC and rest of Toyota's lineup.

My old Jeep beeped at me for the same reason, so I guess I'm used to it..

Heck I might've even felt uneasy if it -didn't- beep since that's always a sure sign that the vehicle is working.
