Default My xA crept up on me like indian underwear...

Well....after waiting what felt like forever and a couple of rather annoyed calls to the dealer, my dealer calls me back and says that he left a message a week and a half ago saying my FM xA would be in on the 4th. Been waiting since November and suddenly here it is.

Luckily though I found an outside lender that will give me NICE lil $270 per month payments with nothing down. (I love having good credit) That price is of course including a few upgrades as well. Just to start I'm adding tint, cruise, floor/cargo mats, rims, lowering springs, the security system and the Ipod-equipped stereo.

I want Green Neons inside but I'll wait on that for awhile. Especially since I can probably get them cheaper somewhere else. May one day get some stuff under the hood too but not right now.

I've known for awhile that the xB was what I wanted for a new car.. it took me awhile to settle on the Thundercloud and Automatic, so it came as a surprise that when I went in to -just look- a little over a week ago the local dealer happened to have 2 xBs and one was Thundercloud and an Automatic.
Took about 10 minutes for me to go from, 'Here's what I hope to do' to signing the papers for $290/month.

Aside from the issue with where my right leg wants to rest I havn't regretted it at all!

Default You suck

I wish it were that easy for me man.

I started researching the xA for my girlfriend who was looking for a new car. I started liking it and began checking it out for me. Then I decided what I wanted and such and it just so happened I picked the one color that they couldn't seem to get a hold of. The guy told me I could get a silver one or an Indigo Ink one pretty easily and I kinda shrugged those off and then suddenly after not hearing from him, I get word that mine's coming in this week. Weird how that works....

Not quite as weird as the color itself. I kept seeing pics of the Phantom Gray Pearl from last year and thought THAT was Flint. When I saw a flint xA for the first time I was like "That's a flint? Dang, that's daaaark....if I wanted it that dark, I'd just get black."

But having researched a lil further and realizing that I was seeing that car on a pretty overcast day....I like it more and more now. Especially since one poster here indicated that his flint xA has a near-invisible quality in regards to the long arm of the law. Which I desperately need......4 tickets in 8 months really sucks...even if the lawyers keep them off my record.

He means on a warm day your leg sticks to the plastic center console - am I right? I haven't driven a compact car that I didn't stick to the console, though, so I'm not complaining!

monkey, the Flint is a great color when it is fresh washed... My daughter has a FM tC and it looks great on a sunny day. You will love that color...

Well, I 'would' love that color if indeed the deal were happening. But since the Scion guys don't want to play ball with my trade-in, then it appears I won't be getting a Scion. I refuse to be shafted by trade-in appraisers who tell me my car is only worth "X" amount but I know full well that when it goes back on their lot, it magically gets about a $4K or $5K price 'upgrade.' Either they'll give me what I want for it, which is a very fair price....or they don't get my business. In this case, I guess they don't get my business.

Well, monkeyninja, unless you live in the middle of nowhere, I'm sure you could get a better deal with another dealer - at least you know the Scion price will be the same. Check the dealer reviews here for a reputable one in your area, or travel a little farther and visit one of the registered dealers!

Unfortunately, this was from a dealer that was highly rated on this site. The 'other' dealer I'd been too was even worse. I guess they don't get my business. Oh well....

I can't tell where you live - the dealer I dealt with was amazing. Do you live anywhere near the Wash D.C. area? It's worth a try anyway

What are you trying to trade in, out of curiosity?

A 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart. It was great when I got it, but I have since taken a job that demands better mileage (not to mention less attractiveness to the cops). They don't want to give me what I want for it (and what it's worth) so they don't get my business.
