Car and Driver just did a comparison between the Jeep Cherokee SRT-8 and the Trailblazer SS. Even though the Jeep had better performance numbers, the Trailblazer SS won for better usability and drivability.
Which would you buy and why?

O.K. I'll start.
While I agree with usability and all that hooplah, I must confess that 0-60 in under 5 seconds in a SUV is absolutely disgusting! At this point, reliability, usability, towing capacity, general comfort, features, etc. are all outta the frickin' window.
Give me the Jeep and bring on the vettes!!!!!!! I'm goin' sports car bashin'!
:come:

It all depends on what you want out of an SUV, if you want one which can actually go somewhat off-road and be able to seat 7 with some power to punt on roads than the Traiblazer SS makes a great choice.
To sum up the Cherokee SRT-8 it is like an SUV equivalent to an Audi S8 or something like a lowered Subaru Forester XT on steroids.

I like the new look of the Jeep better than the Trailblazer and I'm still disappointed in the SS Silverado and Impala (after 97)
