View Full Version : Thanks to RockBlocker Clear Bra
retrodrive 02-11-2006, 07:48 PM I was driving behind an SUV yesterday so I could not see anything in front of it's big a$$. Suddenly I see a huge piece of plastic flying out from under his rear wheel (size of half of my bumper) so I have half a second to swerve but it still hit me on the side of my bumper. If it was not for my clear bra I would have to repaint the whole thing. Just posting this little story because what happened was straight ROI on my RockBlocker. Thanks Chad for badass product. Highly recommend it. I am not sponsored by them in any way either; just have to give props when they are due. Not a single paint chip after owning my car for a year.
Reese 02-12-2006, 01:28 AM oh thats awesome and im sure he'll appreciate the props you just gave him :) I was also thinking of something like that because the roads are just horrid around here...im scared to drive my baby anywhere long distance.
retrodrive 02-12-2006, 05:27 AM I drove my car from from CA to Kansas City (3500+ miles) and I drive to las vegas often (700 miles). Not a single paint chip so far.
Beantowntc 02-12-2006, 01:20 PM That's good stuff. I wish I would have gotten one. My front bumper has tons of tiny little chips. I'm going to have it repainted this summer and then I'm getting the clear bra.
Reese 02-12-2006, 02:51 PM can you put it on yourself? and how easy is it, can you really tell its on the car? Thanks :)
retrodrive 02-12-2006, 04:41 PM The front film is one piece and it is a bltch to put on right. I'd go to professional because there is 90% chance a first-timer will screw it up. Once it is on, ou can't see it and it makes your bumper paint look deeper. Looks ____ you have a thick layer of clear coat.
Bubble2Box 02-12-2006, 04:53 PM HUM.....may have to look into that....available for the xB?
I've only had the box a couple of weeks and already some chips. The interstates are horrible here in MS. But the chips I have came from mud falling off a dually transporting a FEMA trailer....
I have had my Rockblocker on for almost 10 months now and i can say it is the best mod that I have done on my tC.
About a month ago i pulled up too far on a high curb. I felt it push back on the front lip. I was sure that i had scraped down past the paint. I got out and looked and I could see marks from the concrete block... no good. I got down and rubbed the marks to see how deep they were and found that the marks came right off! Rockblocker did it again! Thanks Chad, you really do have an awesome product. (FYI, I am not sponsored by Rockblocker either, just a very happy customer) :)
Reese 02-13-2006, 12:57 PM yeah im very interested in this now I want to save the beauty of my car, now do they make them for the body kits as well? I plan on getting a kit sometime this year and was wondering if I could get the bottom piece protected. Thanks :)
Streeter 02-13-2006, 03:56 PM No paint chips? You guys suck
Well if I ever get my hood repainted, I'm getting that.

rolloutrs1 02-23-2006, 01:49 AM do you have something for people with body kits? i know these are pre-cut so do you? thanks.
RockBlocker 02-23-2006, 02:40 AM do you have something for people with body kits? i know these are pre-cut so do you? thanks.
Thats extremely vague - I have done several Kaminari Kits in custom form since each custom wantd to do something different. One had full hood wrap and the other didnt.
I can list a lot of other but no need to so. More times than not custom body kits are better left to custom work since each customer has a different idea in mind and different cost figures in mind. The kit on my car right now with everything would run $1500-1800 depending on where in the country and who did the work. Yes the Clear Bra would be that much.

Rockblockers prodcut is awesome, I had him do a FULL hood kit on my tC and I love it. I can't imagine how many chips I would have on my car now if I didnt have that on my hood and bumper.....I am not sponsored either BTW.
