Default Alright everyone need ya'lls advise!

Ok well about a week ago I decided to add more entertainment to my tc. I recently installed a 7" indash dvd player (Clarion vrx755vd) also ran my ipod up through the center console and have it in the top lid part of the center counsel (pics to come), and I really want to put my xbox in my car. Well this is the part I am needing help on xbox is too fat to slid under the passenger seat and to fat to cram in the glovebox, so I am debating on whether or not to install my ps2 instead. It can fit in either location. But the xbox is nicer because it is modded so no need for xbox games in that bad boy plus I can restart it and shut it off without touching the main console plus if I want playstation 2 games I can download the emulators and play them that way. Decisions decisions

Well what would you do find a place to mount the xbox or go with the ps2? Mind the fact that the xbox must be hidden I do not want it out in plain sight where someone can see it through my windows. Thanks guys could use any and all help.

Will Duck Hunt work with that type of screen? I know it doesn't work with certain types of TVs (though I can't remember which ones).

I would say go with the Xbox if it is modded. It would be a hassle to keep switching games every time you wanted a different one. I am sure that there is room for it somewhere. There is a lot of room in the trunk where the spare tire is as a last resort. Good luck with the install.

I say go old school, put the nintendo in your car. I was thinking of taking it further back and throwing an Atari console in my car (if I could ever find one) j/k...

But seriously if your doing it for the fun do the xbox but perhaps mount it in the trunk or something like that, if your thinking for show quality go with the nintendo..

Old school nintendo would rule! A lot of people are putting in the new generation systems in.. Myself included. The PS2 Slimline slides right under the seat without any problems. I don't know if the old NES system has RCA out cables, though.

Get one of those controllers that has 1000 games on it. Duckhunt should be there somewhere.

Seriously, even though I'd never buy one myself the new slim PS2 would probably be the best option, IMHO.

Well guys I appreciate all the input what I would really like to do is install one of ALL the nintendo consoles made in the tC, but that will be later on maybe next year slap a bunch of nintendo graphics all over the place (think I might get lucky and get some type of kick back?

Well as of right now I will probably be putting in the xbox but I am loving the different views and it appears as that dog from duckhunt is in the lead right now, I guess no matter what your age or backgorund no one can resist the power of the Duck Hunt.

you need to take a lot of caution when installing an xbox in your car.

xbox takes an insane amount of power to supply, and i have heard of people carrying around an extra battery in their car in case the battery decided to keel over.

Also, youll have to make sure the xbox is well ventilated, these things can get HOT and overload.

the very few X-box's that i have put in cars.. just dont seem to like to be in cars... those things have such a wicked amount of current draw that if you got and radio, subwoofers, heat and so on and so forth the xbox is going to suffer and you will have distorsion lines across the screen..

just what i have run into with xboxs..

as far as alarms go... 791xv... i also have one in my car.. but good luck finding a shop that will do it for you if your car is manual... i happen to have it on mine... just because i am an installer.. if you need any wiring help i can sure try.. but if you dont have any idea as to how to do an alarm/remote start... i would leave it to the pros... i have had kids bring thier cars in on flatbeds cause they tried to do an alarm and blown main fuses.. just giving you advise...

If your xbox is modded, then im assuming you've previously taken your xbox apart. I've seen a few xbox's taken apart before and installed in pieces and that looks really good. They put the hdd and the mobo in the glove box, installed the controller ports under the glove box and then ran the dvd under the headunit (the cubby hole in the tC would be a good place) covered by some black plexi/plastic stuff. I'll see if I can find some pics of the car.

I had to make the same exact decision. I had an xbox already but thought it was too big so I got a slim ps2 with wireless remotes. I have yet to install it but will most likely do it this week. I have a few ideas for installation but dunno what I will do yet. I will update when I finish.

Old school would be pretty cool. Then you could put some vinyl that looks like that lauging dog peeking up from your window.
