Default Any experience with Elemental Designs?

I contacted elemental Designs and they have a prototype for under the seat subs specifically for the xB (passenger first).

I'm wondering if anyone has ordered custom boxes (or combos with an amp/subs) from them? They seem to have great stuff, and the whole idea of ordering an enclosure customized for your needs seems awesome. Just give them the dimensions and BAYUM you got yourself an enclosure with subs in them. I'm hoping to buy from them, depending on how long this "prototype" takes to come out.

What interests me the most is the under the seat subs. I put my handed down polk 2x12s in the rear and I need that cargo space. Not to mention I dont need 12's, I listen to rock I dont need deep bass.

Can anyone comment on their subs? Perhaps 8's or 10's?

2 friend's of mine purchased some eD NINe.1 amps and they both blew. eD does have speedy customer service and the replacement amps came promptly. They haven't failed yet.

I personally like thier EU-700 woofers.

I'm thinking about getting the eu-700s! For under my seat.

But the amps blew? I'm only planning to power one or two eu-700s (assumin I'm going to get some of these). I'm sure they would put those together in a package if they werent really fit for eachother.

Those eu700s are 150W each, sounds like they pack a punch. And I just watched the video, those little things can MOVE haha. Sounds like the poor camera didnt like all the bass :-p

I am into rock. I wanted to ad something to the sound system so I got a 120watt counterdrive Clarion Phaze 1 SRV303 Enclosed Subwoofer system. I mounted it under the passenger seat on a flat black platform that I made to raise it above the flow of the underseat air vent. It fires upward. It works for me...more sound...no loss of cargo space...hard for prying eyes to detect.

AMEN on the Eu-700's!!!! I have 2 of them in a 30Hz ported box in the back of my tC and people swear I have a good ported 10" back there... but they're sooo tiny and have an awesome "neat" factor!! I've got 600watts on my pair and as long as you use it right, they'll handle it decently...(ie. not playing test tones or dropping below box tuning)

click here for a video of a 30Hz test tone with a 31frame per second camera to show excursion

Yeah i saw that video! So far i've read nothing but good stuff about them. I have an old MTX Thunder amp, I'm thinking instead of spending money on a new amp I'll keep that and just buy a eu700 and an enclosure. I'm going to talk to a representative today and see if they can build me a custom box for my xB.

That is funny that you contacted them about the same exact thing as I did. Chris asked me to take a bunch of measurements so he could see about manufacturing underseat boxes for the xB. I have taken the measurements, but need to get it scanned so that I can send it to him.

This isn't for under the seats, but behind the back seats. Worth a look, I thought it is a pretty cool sub enclosure....
