Default Finally got my windows tinted, but...

...my car doesn't have the felt lined window strips on the inside! Whats up with that? How do I change those out? The guys at the tint shop told me that it's hit-and-miss with our cars the way they come from the factory like that. And what a difference the tinting makes, I can feel the heat difference already. My car is noticeably cooler inside, not to mention how private the back seat is in full sun........

They should have felt down the door on the inside.. the tinters usally push it down to tint the windows. you might have to take the door panel off and push it back up..
BUT usally you can just crack your window a hair and roll it back up and they pop back up. I had one stick and had to remove the door panel and fix it.

I kept the front windows as legal as possible, the backs, on the other hand, are very dark. I went down to the dealer on Tueday and their in-house tinter hadn't heard of any problems like I had mentioned. I also peeked into an '06 on the lot and the stripping matched what's already in my car. Guess my tint guy just got me worked up for nothing...
