Default 3rd Brake Light "Extensions"?

Have you noticed that the 3rd brake light lens is about 3 times longer than the light that is hidden underneith it? That leaves the left and right section un-illuminated when you step on the brake.

This kind of bugs me.
I'd like the light to extend all the way across behind the lens.

Anyone know of a way to mod this?

I understand what you mean.

I posted this message by accident here.
By the time I realized it it was to late to pull it back.

Thanks for pointing it though.

^^^ Yeah, make it easier to get rear-ended!
Awesome idea...not to mention, illegal.

As far as I know, by retaining the other two tailights he's still legal.

It's pretty easy to notice that the car has stopped when the other two brake lights light up. I'm sure taek doesn't have much to worry about in terms of rear-ending due to deletion of the third brake light.

actually it is illegal.. after a certain year, cars have to have a third brake light.. so by not having it, u might get pulled over... just to my knowledge...

I am going to do a similar mod to mine and maybe offer it as a service to others. Check this thread out https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=110407 later next week(last week of march maybe) or shortly there after hopefully
