Rich_Manas 05-19-2004, 06:45 PM when they let us see the car at the LA auto show it didn't have telescoping steering only tilt. Slide 05-19-2004, 09:18 PM Dylan: Hello Ron.. Dylan: How can I help you today? Ron: Hi. Will the Tc have telescoping steering wheel? Dylan: Sorry, but it only has the tilt steering wheel.. Dylan: up and down Ron: ugh Dylan: sorry about that tC4me 05-19-2004, 11:40 PM Jeez. Its not that big of a deal! I think your forgeting this car is only $16,465. djimpak 05-20-2004, 01:19 AM i know its not a big deal but the mazda3 has telescoping steering wheel for under 17k its_ikon 05-20-2004, 02:24 AM i know its not a big deal but the mazda3 has telescoping steering wheel for under 17k but then you have a ford engine. plus, 95% of the time only 1 person drives a car. there is not really much need for a telescoping wheel. dgHotLava 05-20-2004, 02:46 AM i know its not a big deal but the mazda3 has telescoping steering wheel for under 17k but then you have a ford engine. plus, 95% of the time only 1 person drives a car. there is not really much need for a telescoping wheel. unless the person doing 95% of the driving wants the wheel closer to them. can you put spacers on it? j/k trdcamry2003 05-20-2004, 03:20 AM Yeah i was just hoping it did. Hopefully it's not like the corolla. Im 6' and I don't like reaching for the steering wheel. Maybe we can swap the solara telescoping steering column and wheel. nah j/k. way too much work. I just hope its not like the corolla. its_ikon 05-22-2004, 02:50 PM i know its not a big deal but the mazda3 has telescoping steering wheel for under 17k but then you have a ford engine. plus, 95% of the time only 1 person drives a car. there is not really much need for a telescoping wheel. unless the person doing 95% of the driving wants the wheel closer to them. can you put spacers on it? j/k you can slide the seat forward. Rousterfar 05-22-2004, 02:59 PM Well I am 6'6" and I have to tell you, after sitting in a Mazda3 the telescoping wheel felt wonderful! Generally smaller cars are a hit or miss with me in comfort. The wheel on the Mazda3 let me get everything feeling perfect. I really like the TC, but I holding off getting too excited till I can sit in one and find out how comfortable it is. For people who are either really tall (like more) or really short something like a telescoping wheel can be a huge plus so he has every right to be disappointed one is not included on the tC. |
