79.00 free shipping. anyone tried this one? i i have a scionfx fx1 cold air intake and i want to get a nice medium exhaust note when i get on the gas. but i want to cruise 1500 miles at 80 mph and not go deaf. do you get any power gains from just putting this muffler on? 1 2 3 hp anythings better on 90 hp.

HP gains are very minimal if any, and from what I've heard, it's fairly loud.

I was considering it, but instead will probably get an oval muffler like the Tanabe Hyper Medallion or the Apexi WS2

I have one on my xA...it was really loud at first but quiets down alot after about a week. It does include a silencer. I rarely drive on the highway, but just driving around town it sounds great to me and doesn't bother me at all without the silencer. It sounds similar to the xB Strup axle-back...real smooth and deep at all RPMs. It is a tad on the loud side but has an awesome sound so I don't mind the volume. If you are really worried about volume, it'd probably be safer to look elsewhere.

Also...since you have an xB I think it would be smarter to buy the axle-back because its easy to install (no cutting and weldling). The universal muffler has to be installed at a muffler shop. My installation charge was only $35, but two other people have paid $100+ (beats me?)....

The only reason I bought mine was because Strup doesn't make an axle-back for the xA and everybody I know says Strup is great

Hope this helps!
