Well after seeing a few type r integras w redlines of 8500 rpm making 220 hp I was wondering why is it no one in na raised the redline yet. My understanding of making more power was - Pressurize the air - F/I way - Raise the redline and let as much air in as possible - N/A way. The fi people are making tons of power around here even with basic kits (compared to na) And the na people are stuck at 180 hp with i/h/e mods. I know there isnt any cams or anything out yet, but zpi did release a few na upgrades. Anyway what I was wondering is why didnt anyone try to raise the redline yet? I know increasing the redline alone will do zero for power not to mention strain the engine like nothing else. Does anyone around here that knows how to do this successfully? reliably? Reliably being subjective Iam not talking about factory warranty and 150,000 miles worth of running w no problems.

Is this even possible on our engines? I know how long the stroke is has an effect on this but my knowledge ends here. Anyone around here knowledgeble about these kind of things?
