Default Tires for my brand new 19's

Hey guys,

I just picked up a set of new 19's. they are 19x8.5 on a 35mm offset. I wanted to know if you think that I could fit 245/35/19 inch tires on them. If so would my suspension matter also? I'm thinking of doing a 2" drop. Please let me know. Pictures would be most helpful. Thanks in advance.

I tried putting a 245/35-19 on the rear to try to give me a wider foot print, but the tire looked bloated and did not look proportanate to the car, in short it fit but looked horrible.
i have 225/35-19s on my Tc currently, but have test fit 235/35-19s and the fit...
as you sider the sidewall height gets taller......

i have 19x8 on stock springs with 235/35 tires. they dont rub but the offset on my rims is +45 i think. If you have a body kit then you will be alright, but i think if everything is stock than with that width and offset you might be rubbing alot if you get the drop or maybe without the drop

ok i checked today, my freind has axis hiros 19x8.5 with a 245/35 and it looked ok, however it was on a Rx8 which is a larger car, i would go with 235.....it keeps it pretty close to the original diameter of the 215/45 17 that the car came with, its only heavier and larger by about 1/4 of an inch...

Didn't I read somewhere that Dr Isotope had 245's on his? I am on a really tight budget so these 245's would work out great if they fit.

Guys, amkes sure you are talking the SAME OFFSET... I hear alot of people saying that 225 or 235 will work on 19's but simply put you really need to state your OFFSET. a 35 vs. 45 offset is significantly different.... Thats why i have been asking alot of questions myslef, and asking the right ones at that. DROP/OFFSET/TIRESIZE/RIMSIZE is really important whn picking them out.. I really dont want to spend 3-600 on tires and find out that they are rubbing.. If you are going with 19's i have found that a higher offset is best, no smaller than 38 offset. Again i get this info from the people on here and their trial and error, and mosly with a drop.... Most get a drop with rims. From what i was told 215 or 225 is what you want to go with, with a lower offset. The Hiro's for instance 225 front and 265 rear is fine, that also with a Tein SS-P drop, and you can ADJUST this due to the Coil's.. go here http://1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp to get tire diameters and offset info... Really cool tool if you know what you are looking for...

Just amek sure you ask around before purchasing...you dont want to spend more $$ for a quick mistake. I hope this helps.. Again all this research i have been doing are for the people here and on otehr websites that know from trial and error... LAter.[/url]
