Default anybody know where to get bB badge that DOES NOT fall off?

damnit!! i'm about to buy my third badge on ebay! does anybody have any tips on how to keep it on the hood or even if there are some higher end badges instead of the shiny plastic? maybe a metal material or something?

I used some double sided tape which kept it on for a long time, but i noticed today that it was gone.

what kind of tape are you using? make sure to get the weather proof 3m double sided tape.

im guessing youre talking about the rear emblem? cuz if yourte putting an emblem on the hood, then i dont know what youre doing. and the fact that the emblem is plastic shouldnt have anything to do with it falling off

Falling off? Or is someone stealing it?

1) All are plastic. The JDM are a much better product, fit and finish.
2) Tape means the rear emblem?
3) Are you sure that someone isn't stealing them?

For the front/grille emblem be sure that the clips are fully seated when you install it. Reach around inside the grille and push them apart until you see and hear them click in-completly.

On the back, there is no theft proof solution. And again, the JDM-with the factory adhesive/orange peel off paper already applied-is the best hope for staying on.

Don't get the repopped cheesy emblems. Not worth the $$.

i'd go to bBist for the badges... have lots of friends with them with no problems.. i think they're all plastic though.. only metal ones i think i've seen were for the rear.

but honestly it sounds more like someone's stealing them.

I agree. Make sure your using the correct kind of double sided tape. If double sided tape can hold your previous badge on then you should have no problem holding your new bB badge.

If it was being stolen I would think it would leave some extra residue/tape. Unless the theif takes the time to use some cleaner Def possible though.

You can go to any parts store and pick up a tube of 3M emblem adhesive for the rear emblem. I used it after my emblem started detaching with the doublesided tape and it's on there for good.

I used the 'duct tape' thin double sided tape...I dont think I could pull off the emblem now- even if I wanted to.

Sounds like theft to me too. When you clean the area to put the emblem on, are you waxing it first? dont. Clean and wipe it dry...make sure no cleaner residues, but don't wax it first, or your tape will fall off.

thanks for the replies! i dont think its being stolen....one day i was walking to my car and i hit the alarm and the vibration from that made it just fall right off, luckily i was able to see it fall off. I was referring to the GRILL, not hood, sorry for the confusion. Have any of you guys had yours yoinked? i was thinking of superglueing it to the grill, the tape i used was 3M double sided tape...not sure exactly what type if its outdoor or what.

btw....would these emblems: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jdm-T...53591219QQrdZ1

fit the front grill of our stock xBs?

the tape was put on the back of the badge, around the three little plastic pins that hook to the grill.

anybody develope a steal proof technique on putting these on? I was thinking of drill small holes or something in those pins and having either some kind of wire or zip tie or something to hold it in place....any ideas?

Shouldn't need tape on the grille emblem.

They just clip into the grille. Again, be sure that they are completely seated...check from the inside of the grille. They snap in pretty good.

I thought about making a small bar that goes between the legs so that it cannot be compressed to remove the emblem. Then I thought that someone would just break my grille if they really wanted the emblem. Not good. Better a lost emblem than a broken grille!
