Default Eclipse head unit/nav question

Does anyone have the AVN6600 or the AVN 5500? I am going to purchase one or the other but I am wondering how well the 5500 controls an ipod as opposed to the 6600. The Eclipse site seems sort of ambiguous.

Also, if you have either one do you have any positive/negative things to say about it?

Thanks.

I dont think there is a difference on how the ipod is contrlled, i beleive the same screen is used on all the AVN units for it.

The iPod adapter is terrible with the avn5500. It would not work for myself and five other professional installers...even with one of us on the phone with Eclipse's useless tech-support.

The avn6600 on the other hand, is absolutely perfect with the iPod adapter. It searches well and has full functionality. I have owned other iPod adapters in the past but none of them was as good as Eclipse's on the avn6600.
