Default CEL HELP!

last night i installed an SRI and i need to know if i should reset the ECU because as i was driving down the road this morning my CEL came on. if i do have to reset the ECU all i have to do is disconnect the battery for like 30 seconds right? and if i do that will the CEL go away?

disconnect the negative terminal....hold the brake down for 30-45 seconds then reattach......hammer

how much power does your guys underdrive crank pulley put out over the stock crank pulley?

Did it work...

Wouldnt think you should of gotten a CEL for adding an intake... Hope you disconnected the negative when you put the intake in and kept that sensor clean when you were switching

i did what you said and i let the car run for about 10 mins and so far no CEL i'll update you if it comes on again thanks again for helpin me out and regarding your other message i didnt disconnect the battery when i put the SRI on but i was very careful w/ the MAF since i didnt disconnect the battery am i screwed now or is that y i pulled a CEL

well you should of pulled the negative just as a safety... also it resets the ecu and lets it learn the new intake

it didnt work to reset the ECU i tried disconnecting the negative n then holding the brake down for 45sec and the CEL went away but only for a short period of time. also while the CEL was not on it felt as if i had lost power instead of gaining it i dont understand whats going on here maybe someone can explain it to me?
