The best way to remove scratches is 3m rubbing compound with a buffer. If it is just very light scratches i would try 3m or maguires glaze with a foam pad on a buffer first.l

They also have this little yellow bottle of stuff out there called Scratch Out. I got mine from PepBoys. This is a very light compound, that will make large scratches appear smaller, and small scratches fade completely. It rounds out the rough edges on the scratches clear coat, so the light doesnt get caught in it as easily.

I use meguiars Paint cleaner and then some extra Sctactch X on top of that. I normally use it on my mom's van, it has been hit by 2 shopping carts at high speeds, a mailbox, and she parks it near a playground and for some stupid reason the kids like to through small rocks at her car.... Cracked the windshield and made some nice scratches. I am gunna catch them one day  .
