Dealer said the cam gear broke or something so my vvti is not working and my sycros are going out, so I ordered a fidanza flywheel and trd clutch and short shifter today to have them put it on why tere in there!!

 

That sucks, all covered under warranty, right.Did they say what caused the cam gear to brake? Hope you get it up and running quick and they dont take 2 weeks to get it done.

did they say why all this happened? how many miles on your car? did you have issues like the sticky shifting issue?

 

I have 15000 on there! They have been having problems with the trannys they said and oil injection for the VVTI so I have no clue!!! All I know is it is under warranty thank god!! My tranny will just not let me down shift or power shift it will grind!!

 

i know a few of us have had issues with shift lock outs and hard shifting is why i asked.

 

Have not had any thing like that!

I am just excited about the clutch and fly wheel! =)

 

I can't powershift especially with my short shifter, it just grinds.

 

havent had any problems powershiftin just missin gear once in awhile

 

my car makes a horrendous sound while in reverse. need to try some redline oil in there.

 

yea sometimes my reverse won't even go into gear and I have to bring it back to neutral a few times.

 

does powershifting = redlineing or almost redlineing the gear and then shifting?

 

Not by my definition. Power shifting would be when your RPM has gone beyond the power band of the gear that you're in, and quickly shifting to the next.

Although many people with sports cars these days think that the red line on your tach= SHIFT.

to me.. powershifting is another name for flat shifting. IE: leaving your accelerator open 100% while shifting fast.

I have no problem doing this but don't think it's really necessary.
