Default Just installed S/C - CEL thrown.

I just had the S/C installed. Drove the vehicle home(about 10 miles). Left to go out, 2 miles from home the CEL came on. We did replace the factory exhaust manifold to the DC Sport Header and the vehicle also has a 9.5lb pulley and Forge 007 bpv.

My question is, is the CEL going to be on because of the Header? Anyone running a similar setup and not have an issue with the CEL?

Also, this is the First S/C installed in our area and the first S/C vehicle I have owned. The S/C seems to have a slight noise coming from it at idle. You can't hear it inside the vehicle, but with the hood open, it is obvious....kind of a clattering noise. When given a little throttle, the noise stops and it sounds pretty normal(Slight Whine). Is this normal, or is it something I should be worried about.

I am pleased with the increase in performance, but the TRD exhaust is now loud as hell!!!! Sounds more like a ricer muffler than the TRD used to sound.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Get your check engine light checked out by your local auto zone and post up the code here and then I am sure people can help you better. It does sound like a header problem that is commonly associated with replacing your header and the o2 sensor

Yeah, I agree. Most likely it's the header.

Here is a video of the SC noise I am talking about. The camera is close so the Mic. can get the noise at Idle.

In the instruction manual it says there will be some chatter from the supercharger and this sound is normal. I installed mine myself and I remember reading that in the instruction manual. Mine does it and im sure everyone elses does it too, its totally normal.

As far as your cell its definatley the header, if it was anything serious your car would be running in safe mode and you wouldnt be able to drive over 3200 rpms let alone boost at all. I suggest getting an antifouler of some kind, anyway I hope that helps and happy boosting!

Your header is what's causing your exhaust to sound like crap. Go back to stock.
