Default Performance Chip Suggestions

Hey All,

Can those of you who have purchased performance chips chime in and let me know which one you chose and why and if you happy with your decision?

I just got my XA and this is the first upgrade I am looking at doing to it just because it seems so easy and simple.

Next upgrade would be exhaust I think

Thanks All
-Mike

I thought that preatty much every thing is the same for the XA to the XB. So the XA has a differnt harness then the XB for conecting the computer. There is a quit a few chips that are for the XB.

Default Example

This is the one I was kinda looking at:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/03-th...03337714QQrdZ1

It claims to give a small 15-20HP boost for like $30. Is this and other like it just junk then and do they end up doing more harm than good?

Thanks Again

Put it to you this way, if this chip was as great as they say, everyone would have one and would probably be raving about it.

15-20 Horses for $30? Yeah right.

A good chip will cost you a bit more. Unless you buy a copied chip, but that's a little sketchy.

It's your car, mate, but you get what you pay for.

Buy it, check it out and let us know what you think. Like he said you get what you pay for. If it is so good then why would people be buying 4-5 hundred doller chips?

If something sounds too good to be true, there's usually a good reason for that...

But - to try to steer things back on topic - I'd be curious to hear about folkses' experience with performance chips, whether $30 or $500.
