I knew it was coming....But tonight I finally get stopped about my crappy eBay dual halo headlights. The cop tells me I need to get some brighter lights.... Somehow he ignores the fact that I have the damd cover on my headlights. So I need to get my lights brighter, so that I don't get a fix it ticket for my damd cover. Going back to OEM isn't an option now since they won't work with the damd cover.....

I can:

1. Buy HIDs for the halos I got, but I am somewhat worried about how the light output will looks with these. Plus it is basically one more illegal head light part.

2. Buying a new set of headlights....but after looking at more and more aftermarket lights, they all seem to suck. Anyone know which ones work better?

3. Buy a set of JDM headlights........cost and time being the fall back on these.

Any help would be great..........

I would get the jdm lights. I got mine off ebay for a steal and had them in 1 week... I run HID's in the,. I would be worried as you are about the HID's in the projectors

Yep thats mine. I don't have many good pics of the current setup. Since its going to the body shop monday. Also I can't trade it, I just got it and I've wanted one since I saw the Bbx concept. So I got to keep it for a little bit.

So why doesn't it surprise me everyone is voting for JDM lights....

 

prolly cause everybody on this board is JDM crazy.
I think a good 70% would have bought the Bb if it was offered, instead of the XB... somebody should make a poll about that.

could try some brighter bulbs. Silverstars maybe?

 

I was about to say, throw some Silverstars in there. i get complaints that they are too bright, so they should balance everything out nicely with the cover.

Well, I had to do some other stuff to the car today. So I decided to look at the lights some. See if I could help them out. One of the harnesses is burned up and broken. So I guess I need to get new lights. I am off to shop new lights I guess.

 

These are JDM aftermarket-- I got mine in last saturday, and they were drop shipped complete with Japanese instructions and warranty card (good thing I can read it!)

I think everyone here wants you to roll with the JDM OEM lights which have a dual element instead of the one H4 bulb like the USIM xB. I can vouch for these angel eyes though-- the light beam is nice and focused and even with the stock bulbs it comes with, its very bright. just pop in some silverstars and its all good!
