I just picked up the factory foglight kit. I noticed that they only have a very small chromed reflector right by the bulb. Rest of the interior of those foglights is just bare dull-gray cast metal.
It will really clash with those nice chromey headlights! Why didn't Toyota chrome the whole reflector?! Duh!

I've read here that JDM foglights have full chromed reflectors - but that is not an option for me now.
Has anybody tried to take the lenses off the foglights? Looks like the lens is glued in and there are also 2 screws on the ends. I don't want to crack them.

I'm thinking that if I can take them apart, I can paint the dull parts with some chrome silver spray paint.

I've searched the old posts here but I didn't find any good info. Any ideas or hints will be welcome.

good luck on trying to get them apart. I've heard it's really hard to do it. But maybe you can do it the oven way like they do on headlights.

 

For like $50 more, you could have gotten the bada$$ JDM foglights with the cool-lighted foglight switch, like I did...

 

Thanks for your input. I don't think I could have taken them apart. Lens seems to be glued in with some sort of RTV rubber. I seriously thing that the lens would have melted before the rubber wold have let go.

But I did find a way to return them. And I just placed an order for those JDM lights from Carson Toyota Scion! :D
