Default Another R/C Toyota bB link (In Stock)

Tamiya 58265 - Tamiya Toyota bB M-03L LIMITED STOCK!

Targeted towards consumers in their twenties, Toyota's mysterious bB was released in February 2000, and falls into the small minivan class that is sweeping Japan. Tamiya undertakes the replication of this promising car as an electric powered RC assembly model kit on the all new M-03L Chassis. The M-03L is an ABS monocoque chassis with a separate polycarbonate gearbox. This chassis is finished in all black, differing from the gray colored M-03 chassis. It features an elongated wheelbase of 239mm, which makes it one of the longest FF chassis. The bB is equipped with four wheel double wishbone suspension and low friction dampers for smooth running performance. All new curved spoked wheels and 60D radial tires complete this quality chassis. The box-like exterior of the bB (which incidentally stands for black Box) has been accurately recreated in shock resistant polycarbonate. Various original stickers such as "side flames" are also included to give some extra style to the bB.

Basic 2 channel controller with 2 servos. If you buy a speed controller you can dump one servo.

I don't think they have it here in the US. That place from the link is in China. As far as I know, the bB isn't in Tamiya America's catalog and they don't allow you to order direct. So I guess you'd have to wait for Tamiya America to bring it over here or order from a foreign country. And it looks like they only sell the whole kit, not just the body. $150 is steep for a mini, too. Even if you could get just the body it wouldn't fit on a TL-01or TT-01. It's for the M03L and would be too small.

This kit was not imported into the US and was discontinued a couple of years ago.
I decided to get one knowing the price was a bit high but was going to bite the bullet. Got an order # and a paypal acknowlegment the other day and then came home tdoay to an email that paypal had refunded me the order amount. No explanation, no info but I assume that they are out of stock already. Just sent a note asking for details.

With the Scion now being sold maybe Tamiya will start producing the kit again at a more competitve price ($100).

i got mine offa ebay. I got a really good deal. some guy bought the kit from japan, and installed the radio, speed control, and batteries. and then decided to sell it! I got it for around 150 shipped, and that was complete with electronics and all. So, for all those interested, the kit is just THAT, a kit. you will still need a speed control, 1 servo for steering, a receiver, a control, and a 6 cell ni-mh battery. oh and some paint for the body.
