Default How is the clutch on the tC 5 spd.

O.k. so i was just wondering how the clutch handles on the tC 5 spd. Dose the clutch catch close to fully depresed or far from fully depresed. I just havent had a chance to test drive one, but i have one on order and hopefully will be here in the next week. Would appreciate any feedback!

So....how is the first gear, this will be my first standard car so i am a little worried about that first gear. Is it real jerky or is it smooth. Does anyone have any tip or pointers for the first gear?

Depends how you drive, Tips more gas then clutch , Ok now seriously 1st and 2nd need care, what i mean is dont be in first and mash the pedal take it easy feel the car out, 2nd to 3rd is the same way but not as bad after 3rd ur pretty much straight. Dont hold the clutch in to long. On turns break and put it into 2nd or 3rd depending how u wanna take the corner. Other then that i would ask the clutch expert...

The gears are very good.... nice and short... but no fun in stop and go traffic, as expected. The clutch doesn't want to engage unless your foot is all the way down (long reach). As for the release, it's perfect. Not a bad set-up. A short shifter and performance clutch would help.

I havent driven a stick in 5 years.... I got in and didnt have any problems besides a very slightly rough start in 1st as I recalled how to drive a stick and get used to the car..... within 2 min everything was cool, was easy to drive, I liked it alot.
