Default Shifter Cable Bushings

I've read alot about the shifter cable bushings and the way that it tightens up the feel on each shift. I'm worried about the install however and that I won't be able to do it myself (at least not without messing something up). Is there any DIY with or without pix that anyone could send me? If nothing else, a written walkthrough of the install?

Which do you all recommend and from where do you all recommend getting them?

Also, is it worth doing the shifter base bushings as well?

Thanks!

o i just did this myself its so easy would've took me like 10 minutes if it didnt take me so long putting the C clips in. My thumb hurts so much after. I was too lazy to go grab some tools. haha. so yea...no tools even needed. i only unclipped my stock airbox and moved it aside. got some scratches on my hands and arms. but why would a guy care.
one thing tho...be careful not to drop anything when you take the stock bushings out...i ALMOST did

it made my transmission more notchy tho...i guess thats why people say it gets tightened. but dont get me wrong its better than the stock squishies now you will KNOW when you are in gear
so i will get some synthetic fluid in soon :D

Yea, that does sound pretty easy. Are you knowledgable when it comes to cars? I mean, I do my own oil changes and such, but that is really the extent of my car knowledge under the hood.

Any pictures by chance of whats being swapped out? I'm not even sure WHERE it is! lol

Any downsides to replacing the stock one btw?

Any other info people can give would be appreciated!

Wow, that does sound easy. So what is the actual installation process like, and where are the shifter cable bushings?

Yea, a went out to the car and took a look. My biggest reservation is the fact of simply getting there. It looks like I will have to remove my dc strut bar and my stock intake. I put in the strut bar, so that is a piece of cake, but I've never taken out the intake, so I wouldn't know where to begin there. I suppose that once those two are out, it shouldn't be a big deal as the product comes with instructions

Umm Corsport does not make those bushings, he is just a distributer. Speed-Source is the maker and they sell them for Only $26 shipped. Same as NST. http://www.speed-source.net/

thats where i got my speedsources was corsport. pretty much look for the shifter cables in the engine bay when you see them. pop the pin outa the top then remove the bushing from the end of the cable then pop the bushing out with a screw driver then put the metal bushing replacement in then attach the shift cable again put in new pin and done!!
