i have my nitrous kit all hooked up already. i will be using a 42 shot to test.

if that is sucessful with no detonation, i will bump it up to 50-60, maybe. i still need to talk to someone who knows something about nitrous to find out what they recommend for a returnless fuel system like we have in our scions.

remember, 42 shot means 42 horsepower, which is almost a 40% increase in power over stock. that is a LOT on our engines.

i was supposed to go a few weeks ago but no stores around here have any nos jets (i'm using a NX bottle/valves with a NOS fogger). if anyone has some extra nos jets i can borrow or buy, please let me know. i only need really small ones. i forgot the sizes, but i can look it up.

when i went to california dragway there was a guy running his xB there. him and his friend each ran and they got around 18.6 for the quarter mile with a bone stock xB. that is a slow track, so that seems about right for average drivers.

eric: where are some local tracks that run on the weekends?

california dragway in fontana runs every saturday i believe, and the track at carlsbad runs every weekend as well. fontana is $10 to get in and $10 more to race, and carlsbad is $15 to get in and $10 more to race, i think. it's a lot of fun. it would be more fun if all the scion people came to one weekend just to race and have fun. obviously we aren't going to get good times, but it's still fun to see what we can get. we're in the "box" class.

box classification! I love it. And I wonder what we could get with our exhaust systems alone eric? The nearest track for me is sac town about two hours away. And the hours conflict with my work scedule. Dam it! I need a track time. :D

here is the bad news. i took off my nitrous kit because i don't want to use it with a returnless fuel system until i get more info. i am going to be selling it, so if anyone is interested, let me know.

You might want to talk to companys that make nitrous kits for... I want to say celica.. either that or a neon/saturn.. I forgot... EHHHHHHhh.. I know that one of those cars has fuel system like that. If you get a AFPR shouldn't that help?

i might hook it up later if i don't sell it. i just don't want to deal with it right now since i already have to learn the AFC and i'm switching things like my intake and exhaust system. plus i probably won't use it much since i can't be filling it up all the time. anyway, i don't want to kid anybody here. the scions are not fast cars. we all know this. i just think it's fun to get a little more out of them, since faster slow cars are more fun than a fast car that you always have to drive slow. did that make sense? anyway, i'm sure one of you guys will do it. just be conservative with the jets, please.
