It varies, Some people get it a little less than 3 grand. I paid $4200 for mine plus $600 for install. Local dealer was a rip off, they charged "ME" for the reflash tool and then the basterds kept it!

You got anally violated. MSRP is 3200, they jacked you for a grand. You can get it at TRDSparks.com for $2950 + shipping, no tax.

That oil problem was the same thing I had, only a lot less severe than that. I wrapped the shaft with a bbbbboatload of thermal wrap and it's cleared up well enough. You're fairly screwed with the bracket though.

This is all covered under warranty right? I just got mine installed, and I am not looking forward to these kinds of problems.

and you let them do that to you, why?? you should never have agreed to that.

at this point you should call scion corp. that dealer would probably charge you for warranty work.

the question is if u have the tamper cap on. which i do. do i have aftermarket pulley, yes i have one on the side.

depends on the dealer, but by paper no cap = no warranty

this problem is not limited to modified sc setups, stock sc's do have identical issues

I was thinking about wrapping the shaft with thermal wrap, but wouldn't that keep heat from "escaping" the shaft as opposed to keeping heat out?
