Just got my sunroof motor replaced. It wouldn't close all the way. You couldn't really tell unless you look on the top of the car and see it a little out of place. What happened was I noticed when I was driving. It had a whistle noise like a window was open. I would only here it when I was on the expressway. Any one one else have this replaced? I also found out another tc had the same problem a week before me, in my area.

 

my tC has been in for service three times for this. I'm not sure what they do each time, but the problem has come back every time, and it's doing it again right now.

 

Did they put a new motor in it? They could be just reinitializing it. The guy that works on scions here says the real only fix is to get a new motor.

 

Yeah mine wouldnt close either. They replaced the glass roofing and yet it didnt fully flush. I went to another dealer and all they did was hold down the roof close button and bam. Reseted the whole thing.

 

i know this topic is old, but where exactly is the motor, im guessing near the front window area, cuz i know the mid section of the headliner is pretty small.
