Default Help with DIY Installation of Factory Sirius Receiver in Tc

I have searched all over the forums for a step-by-step guide for installing the Sirius Receiver in my '06 Tc and haven't quite for what I'm looking for.

I have the appropriate Receiver and Kit for a dedicated install to my Satellite Ready HU. I'm sure I could fumble my way through it since it is a dedicated install, but I don't want to reinvent the wheel if someone has a good guide out there for running the cable and placement of the Antenae.

Any info or direction is much appreciated.

The satellite antena on my car is on the middle of the dash closest to the windshield. Seems like a good place. If it's outside the car, it could get vandalized.

There's a manual somewhere on this site. I don't remember the link, you'll have to search, it might have the guide on how to take the stereo apart.

Yes, I have seen that. I can handle getting the HU out and bolting the Receiver in the car. I am really looking for something that shows how to run the Antenae wire behind the interior and run the dedicated cable from the Receiver to the HU.

Do you know where your Receiver is placed? I've heard under the Passenger Seat.

^^^I think so. There is a bulge under the passenger seat that I haven't looked what's under there. I'm not sure if it's the XM reciever, or the amp for the rear sub. I'm not sure, I can check tonight (took the wife's car today), or maybe another RS2 owner can confirm.

I would like to find out if it is an amp or the receiver under the passenger seat, but by the way, do you have XM and an RS2? My post was for Sirius on a 2006 Scion Tc.

You need the dealer optional Sirius unit if you want to get Sirius and use the controls on the stock radio to change the stations. Otherwise you need a PnP unit with an external controller with an FM modulator. There might be a way to plug it into the AUX port, but you'd still need an external controller.

I have the optional dealer unit for a dedicated connection to the factory HU. So I'm covered from an equipment perspective.

What I really need are installation instructions so I can avoid paying the Dealership $190 to put it in.

TRDSparks.com is a good site to go to since they have links to the installation guides to a lot of what they sell.

Try http://trdsparks.com/install/PTS31-00051tCinst.pdf

Default Hey rb

How is the reception for your sigma intenna installation?? I seem to lose signal constantly. Even though I installed it properly.

Yet my friend with a seprate mount has no signal problems.

My radio works great, I only loose reception occasionally when in a parking garage or driving under an overpass...but not all the time. I'd double check the antenae connection to the satellite receiver. Other than that, did you run any large type of power source next to it (amp for example)? That MIGHT mess with the digital signal via induction. Otherwise I have no clue.
