Default Beat another Honda with Blown xB

My times at the local 1/8 mile were faster than most of the Hondas there. I beat my first Civic in the bracket races. I beat the second time wise. But I lost the second by .007 of a second. I was dialed in at 10.75 and ran a 10.757. I haven't bracket raced in three years. These guys were saying "hes gonna race that? And holy ____ that things fast."

Hey great job! and not to sound old or responsible or anything, but is is nice to hear someone racing other cars on the racetrack/dragstrip instead of freeway/side street.

Matchbox, sounds like you are having a blst with your SC'd box. Cool, your box can fly! Hey are you also using your xB as your daily driver? How does the xB like those speeds, do you still feel in control, or is it a challenge? I guess you are in an manual transmission, correct?

Congrats on the install and the deal of a lifetime! :D

Default PE300

I currently use this as a daily driver. Who wouldn't a SC Scion xB. HeHe. My job at a local hospital which is 3/10 of a mile. Kinda cool to be able to pass in 5th gear without downshifting. I was out in lunch traffic today and needed to get in the left lane. I use to debate on slowing down and meging. Not anymore just press the "go baby go" Gone in Sisty Seconds gas pedal and "zoom zoom" Mazda.

Default 1/8th slip

The first two slips were against Hondas. The far right is against Spider131313 and me Matchbox. The far right was our best time of the day.

For comparison...

My best 1/8th mile time with my xA is 11.171 @ 63.72mph. My best 1/4th is 17.263 @ 79.90. This was only after a month of having the car... I'm sure I can break 10s (in the 1/8th) and 16s (in 1/4th)...

If you ever get bored on a Tuesday or Thrusday, you could ride up to Bristol, TN to the Bristol motor dragway. They have been having streetfights 2 nights a week for the past three years.

www.bristolstreetfights.com

There are plenty of people up there that think there riced out civics and other rides are badass, even though they run 18's, on the quarter mile. It's was really fun to watch them, you would have fun smoking them.

Matchbox...

I think you could break 10 seconds with a few more tries and getting lightweight 15-16's for track use..

since you got those Nice!!! but heavy 19's Fusions which are like what?, 25-26 lbs each and if you get 15's that weight 13-14 lbs and the lighter tires, is like saving 300-350 pounds

Las night they guys form SE vegas went out to midnight mayhem at Las Vegas motor speedway, We had a blast. I thought I could dial in 17's I was wrong. My slow ___ box with 17" wheels, auto tranny, dc header, stylis exhaust, and k&n intake, was 19.006, I ran at import national and got 18.20 but that must have been happy clocks, everyone was fast that night. Anyway one of our members has m\t tc and ran a high 16, now of us were cutting the clock well. But I did get a kill I ran a honda civic that was as loud as ____, I cut the light first, he spun and stalled, he almost caught me at the end of track, a kill none the less. it was fun. Bill
