I don't think it needs to be covered. The dark privacy glass and the shadows created by the back seat mostly obscures anything in the trunk. And you can put your Digi-Cam or other small valuables in the "secret trunk compartment." Also, you could just throw a small blanket over stuff. That's my 2 cents on the issue. Hope this helps. :D RPM

It'd be nice to make a custom shelf for back there.

xBs don't come with cargo covers stock? I think xAs do.

I got the cover and was very disappointed in it. I was expecting a window shade kind of thing like my Explorer had. When I picked up that cover I couldn't believe what it cost. I also think that most of us will not go through the hassle of connecting it. A towel would have been cheaper and done as well.

I added Borla exhaust, cold air intake, cruise control and that cover. If I were doing it over the only thing I'd get would be cruise control. The rest was a waste of money IMO.

The cargo covers are standard on the xA and tC. The bB never came with a cargo cover. Also the rear speakers are in the cargo area.

Goodthing the cargo cover was my only added option to my bone stock xB when I bought. Not installed now. But I am keeping it. It makes a nice flexible snow sled.

I also regretted buying the cargo cover. :/

At least it folds up nicely and fits in the right storage area in the cargo area..

picked up my cover today. what a piece of sh*t. it took me 45 mins to get it adjusted and centered and on the hooks. very disappointed. I was th8inking it was gonna be like the subaru "shade" style that rolls up. and it's gonna be a pain to pull it off when necc. LAME.

i have to have a cover, I always have camera gear w/ me...

I'm planning on mounting it to something that is more ridged like thin plywood or a couple layers of corregated plastic, underneath so it looks right from the top

Thank you guys, you saved me $50.
I was just about to buy it on the net. Now I need to find a way to make a sturdy cargo cover.

I tinted my windows 5% all around. You can not see anything in the car besides the chrome on the head rest. Paint the ring black.....

AMEN... fortunately I found a deal on that thing. I think I paid 35.00 from some dealer out west. What a piece of crap. At least the sides have flaps you can open so the back speakers can still be heard. My wife has a PT Cruiser and the cargo cover in back there can hold a lot of stuff. I was expecting at least a shade rollup.

One thing worth the money, and I haven't seen another around, is the cargo liner. It fits great, wraps over the back seats PLUS theres a fold down piece that covers the bumper to protect it. Being that I haul power equipment, chain saws, gas cans etc, this cargo liner has been a big help. And it cleans up real easy.

Any pics of this cargo liner? I bought a tarp from Harbor Freight to hopefully lay my bicycle inside, but maybe this is what I really need :?:

The material is similar to the Cargo Liner. Fits very nice. The flap is stored underneath the Scion logo. It is hold in place by velcro. Once extended, the flap goes over the rear bumper. Although the flap isn't tough and more flexible, it is way better than the Rear Bumper Applique.

The box it came in with states, Made in America. By who? I dont know. It fits over the top 3-4" of the rear seats. Comes with instructions. Partznet.com has them cheap before shipping is added compared to your local Toyota Parts department.
