Default 2007 Exhaust Question

will this exhaust work on the 2007 tC (link below), I heard they changed the exhaust setup and was wondering if it will work, I'm assuming that it sounds good. Another question, I had the Injen SES and it hung too low, does this hang just as low, I don't want to scrape it. Thanks!

that will work just fine...

only difference in exhaust is the header design, but it bolts up to the engine and to the rest of the exhaust the same way as the 05 and 06's (no such thing as 04)

actually I didn't lol, the injen exhaust hung low on my car for some reason, it would scrape on bumps, and I didn't lower it or anything....hmmmI don't know if I want an angled exhaust

that's odd... anyway, yea this is angled, i hate that (looks like something is broken... lol)

i suggest you get the megan full catback... it isnt as loud as the injen or this one, but it will give you the most gains, but it seems like you just want nice sound...

in which case you should get the tanabe axleback, it is by far the BEST sounding.

Here is a pic of the HKS Hi-Power just for reference:
I got it installed a couple of days ago and am very happy with it. Its sounds and looks good,in my opinion, and I definetly feel a difference in power.

you can use the word "power" in reference to an axleback, lol..

it might sound OKAY, but i think it looks bad

I thought almost all exhaust systems for the tC are essentially axlebacks because the catalytic converter is located just before the rear axle/section. No? Do you think I lost power? Judging by looking at the stock exhaust system, it doesnt seem logical that the HKS would cause a loss in power due to its more direct piping. Ive seen some dyno plots on here of similar exhausts and they posted on the average of a 3-4whp gain. As far as looks, I have received alot of comments on it, both positive and negative, and I just want to say thank you for your honesty.

REARaxle back, lol...

and no, you didnt lose power either, you just added a noisemaker that sounds cool

there isnt enough exhaust flow coming out from the tc's engine for an axle back to make a difference in powerband... that 3-4hp difference you see is just the dyno accuracy.... if you dyno the same exact car twice, you will almost never see the exact same dyno curve, it can be off as much as that 3-4 hp.

glad you are happy with your investment though
