Default Single Din Receiver in Double Din Slot! Help is required!!!

I have the Pioneer Avic N-2 in my 06' Tc. I would like to know any ideas you guys might have to cover the gigantic gap there is left over. I saw some custom center pieces with gauges used to cover the gaps and others that are just complete fiberglass to cover the gaps and the gap is for slot of the radio. I just got my rims and the system I am installing, but I want to complete all the work at once. I will most likely be painting my entire car again, so the kit will match the car and I can use left over paint for custom work to match the car as well. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

U know what i meant. Its a motorized Navi system. Not the double dins but a single din so they are a great amount of gaps left over

When I put a single DIN in my old Subie, I bought a little cubbie. It was also single-DIN, and fit nicely. It was even felt-lined so stuff didn't slide around. Looked very stock.

just get a piece of abs plastic and cut it to fit the little gap.

and maybe i missed it, but why dont you want to use the plastic harness again?

gaps still viewable? thats a bit odd. the harness should fit snug if its for the tC. by the looks of the link above it looks like the harness is adjustable, maybe work with something like that? do you have pics?

here is what i did with my single din deck...

just added a piece of abs below it and it covers up really well...

and btw, i have a screen behind there

thanks sicktc06!

as for the part.. it is by metra part number 99-8209 and it looks like this

i got it from a local car audio shop, but i think you can order it online somewhere if you cant find it at a shop. maybe try bestbuy, or circuit city, maybe even frys (iono if you have that there).

as mentioned it is made for the xA, xB, and the tC as well, just need to break off (by easily bending back and forth) the pieces to make it fit.

have you tried checking the kit? thats really weird that it didnt fit

here is the manual for mine too see how easy it is:
http://www.metraonline.com/downloads...NST99-8209.pdf

and fyi, dont worry about the ISO parts, you are mounting it DIN. hope this helps

found the piece, bought the piece. hopefully should be in by tomorrow. another thing i was thinking about is maybe the gaps have something to do with me taking the cover off. i cant have the cover since my tv is a flipout and it will hit the cover.

that's probably what it's from. i have that crutchfield mounting kit you called "horrible" and i have ZERO gaps... everything is perfectly flush. i dunno what else it could be... sorry i can't be more helpful.

im pretty much screwed. i have to figure a way to cover the differences or double din dvd player instead. I would love a z-1 but the money is excessive. I am willing to trade or sell my Pioneer Avic N-2. If anyone interested. PM me. The difference comes from the cover that i cant use because of the TV the flips up and hits the cover. maybe the pic below will show what im talking about.
[/img]

The slot where the cover is at, there would be a gap because I can't use it. As well as the blacker darker part on the sides and bottom of the custom bracket. If anyone knows how to fix that and make a real custom bracket to cover the gaps, please let me know.
Thanks
