scion security doesn't chirp or beep or honk or make any noise.
if it's aftermarket.. you need to follow the instrructions that came with it to change the settings.

scion security is the oem factory option.... if the switch panel doesn't have something that says "scion security" on it.. then they didn't install that.
they probably installed an aftermarket one. should've came with a manual.

nope, ill prolly take it to them day after xmas, but idk if they could do anything, i bought the car over a yar ago, ive just been ignoring the problem, well also havent been locking the car since it would just go off randomly
o PS, anyone else have this problem... when ever you press the lock button twice, the alarm starts going off, regardless if youre in gear or not, like if youre driving down the highway and your friend tries to roll down the window but hits the lock button twice the alarm just starts blaring... or is it just me?
damn them basturds lol, i honestly havent checked, i just went with the assumption they put the right one in, and i dont even have a manual, crap, great, now i need to go to them on tues.
so i guess the key fob looks the same regardless of what system they use, whether its stock, scion, or aftermarket they install, its the one on scion.com the big grey one with lock unlock and panic?
Factory security systems are limited in feature settings.
That's why aftermarket alarms are better. Preferably the ones that interfaces with the factory door lock circuit and factory wireless remote transmitters. They are cheaper as well.

ok so scionosis... since you have the same system, ever drive your car around and press the lock button twice? does your alarm go off even if youre driving like 50 miles an hour? lol.. if you havent tried it,. try it now, lol, if it happens to you like it does to me, i think youll drop your jaw and $h!t your pants lol jk
Phoenix.
I know exactly what you're talking about. But that's not your alarm feature activating the horn/siren. That's the "panic" feature of the aftermarket alarm unit. That does not happen to me because, I have that feature set to "off ". That particular feature, when you press the lock button twice, activates the panic feature from the aftermarket alarm (AM1) controls . This feature is the same as the red panic button on your factory remote. So you really don't need that extra "panic" feature that the aftermarket alarm provides since it's already provided from the factory. I believe that "panic" feature is there for a universal application. So you if you do not desire that double lock panic operation, you can program it "off ". Procedures for alarm settings should be in your AM1 owners manual.
