I'm working on replacing my brake lines with SS lines. The front drivers side line WILL NOT come undone. Anybody have a solution?

Well I didn't get a chance to really try 'em too much. Driving back to KC from St. Jo. I jabbed at them a bit. The brake pedal is a bit firmer and initial bite seems improved a little. It could be in my head though. The install was pretty straight foreward. I hit a snag on the driver's side front line. Apparently, when I had my TRD struts and springs installed, the tech way over torqued the fitting that goes from the hard line into the rubber hose and flared out the connection. Thanks Molle Scion techs..

how difficult was the bleeding? i think i remember seeing that it's a pain?

I went with some Valvoline high performance brake fluid, didn't ahve a chance to get Motul before changing the lines.

Bleeding the brakes was a headache and a half. We (my Dad and I) ended up loosing pretty much all of the fluid while fighting that damn front line. After finally getting the lines on a bleeding 'em we went to get some food and I noticed the brake pedal was super mushy. The pedal would travel 2/3 of the way before getting any resistance, so we went back to the shop and bled 'em again...many times. We still don't know what the deal was but it's ok now.
Bleeding the clutch was much easier.

We also threw in my Ingalls 4 point rear strut brace. Haven't had much of a chance to test it out. But I did notice the car is more stable. Hitting the exit from 635 to I-35 (a longish right hand sweeper) at 60 MPH or so the tC felt solid and very composed. I can't wait 'till spring to really test it out at the track with sticky tires.

I hit that same ramp almost everyday. Its a good one to test the suspension on.
Where in Merriam do you live? I live right down the street from Superior Toyota.

I'm actually in OP now. 81st and Switzer, kinda behind Comanche Elementary. We should meet up some time, I'd like to take a closer look at your ride.

My car is currently in the body shop. It got run over by a Nebraska Furniture Mart truck. When I get it back we will have to meet up.

Damn! Was it bad? Are they (NFM) compensating you?

The damage is about $7000.00. Since it was not my fault they are taking care of everything. I was working and my car was parked in the parking lot and this is what I came out to.

I was parked on the white line!

Man that really bites. I feel your pain. My tC was hit a few months ago. Hope the shop gets it back to new.

Yeah I hope so to. I have way to much money invested to get rid of it. I took it to Eveland Brothers off of 72 and I-35. Have you heard anything about them?

Eveland Bros. = expensive. That's not a problem for you since NFM is paying. I know that Aristocrat sends their customers there if needed, so I'm sure they'll do an excellent job.
