theres a supercharger that would be covered by warrenty if you have it installed at a scion dealership... or you could go turbo and screw the warrenty.. lol... i prefer the turbo myself

First off WELCOME!!! Ok, as far a bolt-ons your headed in the right direction! CAI will get you some but your best bet (for the money) other than a turbo, in my opinion is to work w/ the exhaust; s-pipe, header, and cat-back should get you close. I would check in the tC owner's lounge and look @ the product reviews for the best info &/or dyno runs. After all, what I said is just my opinion.

-K-

PS WELCOME!!!

w00t! welcome to the best car community out there ;)

200hp with a tC is a pretty easy thing if you have the money and time to put into it. Just let us know which way you really want to go...

N/A can be done with a good plan
F/I can be done with the supercharger and still keep a warranty or with a turbo you can even push 250-300 with the right parts/tuning...

hey Erik... we should talk about 200whp N/A... Not sure if I want to drop the $$$ on the supercharger...

well i want to go n/a for now i want to get the turbonetics turbo but it will be a while before i will have the 6000 i will need to get it but until then i figured i would do a couple things to get the power up i figured 200whp wouldn't be to hard to achieve but but i am new to the scion thing i had a focus but i had a saleen edition wich was a little to much for me to afford so i am selling it. Saw the scion on and knew that is what i wanted. As i said don't know much about the scion so i am turning to you guys any opinions or suggestions would be hugely appreciated i live in idaho so carb legal not that big a deal.

My advice to you would be don't waste money! In otherwords if you are going to get a turbo, don't get a header or an intake, because you will just have to take them off later then anyways! Do cat-back, an s-pipe and some tuning. Personally I would focus (forgive the pun), on suspension.

seems how i am planning on turboing the car. I was planning on getting the trd exauhst. when i get the turbo will i have to upgrade the exhaust for less back pressure or is the trd exhuast going to be ok to be used with the turbonetics turbo setup. If i were to get the trd performance clutch would i have to upgrade that as well. I don't want to waste the money on these options if i will just have to replace them when i get my turbo. thanks for info

If you go N2O you can use it with the turbo, the Zex kit is supposed to be about as plug and play as you can get. If done right it's a nice boost and fairly reasonable on cost.

I hoestly could not tell you wether the TRD exhaust would be sufficient. I would do a seach on turbos and teh trd exhaust ans see what other people have said. As for me I know I will never have the money to go F/I so it dosen't matter. I would seriously check the parts reviews under the features area and see what has worked for other people and what will work w/ F/I.

For bolt-on power leading up to turbo... your first bet would be exhaust. Like Kanchi said, a good cat-back with an S-pipe would be a good starting point. There's a lot of other places you can go as well... ask Downhillspec, he'd have ideas for you.

did you do regular maint. on your solenoids? That is the number 1 reason they fail.
