I know this is a popular choice...but is there anything else out there that people have used on a tC that allows for control of fueling AND ignition timing?

if cash isn't a problem and you can find a tuner.... go with Hydra EMS... IMO, you won't find a better system...

I personally do not have the Unichip for my TC, but I did have it when I had my corolla supercharged. I got it tuned directly from Unichip, so the cons I would say having to tune it through the manufacturer. Other then that, it was an easy plug-n-play install, and works very well.

Wouldn't you have to take your car to the manufacturer to get it tuned that way? Not exactly a possibility for most people.

They have shops that are certified to tune Unichip. You would have to check out their website and see if there are any in your area.

Then WHY choose Emanage Ult over them?

I'm sorry, I might be somewhat biased since I have the Ultimate, but I don't think there are too many options over the Ultimate. If want something better than the ultimate it would have to be a standalone, and those things go for more than $800 and got so many functions that u wouldn't need. I say u should stick for an Ultimate since it's in the middle of the range between affordability and functions.

yeah, Hydra systems Management is like $1700... but it DOES encompass everything that you would in encounter when tuning your car.

What about the Haltech Interceptor? i was looking into that one but now sure how good it is, and doesnt seem to be very popular amongst other tc owners either.

All of those are Standalones. WAY too much money, but remember.... "You gotta Pay to Play". Also remember, the E-manage Ult. is another piggy-back. Standalones are in a a league of their own.
