Default Clutch slip? Please help...

I thought it was only the weather (it's cold here right now) that's causing this problem for me before but I think it's now getting worst. Ok so my problem is whenever I release the clutch after changing gear, the engine shakes and I can feel as soon as I release the clutch. I change gear at around 3K-4Krpm and this usually happens with 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear. Is it time for me to change the clutch? I need some suggestions from you guy first before I go to my dealer because my dealer is not eager to help.

If the problem is with my clutch, I think it's time for me to buy the fidanza flywheel and exedy clutch and let them install it for free.

Why not just take it to the dealer, have a mechanic drive it and they'll tell you whether it's slipping or functioning properly?

Agreed. Your best bet would be going to the dealer and having a tech take it for a spin.

^^Yeah.

But how are you going to get the dealership to install an aftermarket flywheel and clutch for free?

Well instead of replacing the clutch with an OEM clutch (if they need to), I'll just buy my own clutch and also flywheel and let them install it. Makes sense?

Well my car is still under warranty (and FYI I have the $0 deductible) and I think some tc owners had already done this before. If they are going to fix the problem and decided to replace the clutch with an OEM clutch, I'll just buy my own clutch and fidanza flywheel and tell them that I'm going to provide my own parts instead. If you're going to question about the flywheel, I think it's not a bad idea to ask them a favor to replace the flywheel too since the clutch is attached with the flywheel.

^It's worth a try, takes no effort to ask, and the worst they can do is say "no". Good luck!

how long is the factory clutch covered under warranty?

My clutch has been total crap from day one but the dealership drives it and as long as the car moves when driven or doesn't stall out when they release the clutch in gear they just send me on my way.

I don't drive my tc much anymore, and this week I've driven it a whole 7 miles to and from work and every time it reeks of clutch, always been a sign of dead clutch soon and there's almost no pedal feel and it's mushy as hell, all gears grind from time to time instead of just 2nd when cold or around left turns.

Really dissapointed with the OEM clutch, wouldn't try to have them put in an aftermarket one though, don't think they're even allowed to, they're techs suck, and any sort of online parts ordering is a joke!!!

rant over.
