Default xB charcoal drawing

My wife drew this with charcoal for me last night. Just wanted to show it off.
She hasn't done the touch ups and it's still taped down to her desk because I couldn't wait for her to finish it.

she used this to draw it:

Thanks for the comments guys I'm sure she'll appreciate them.
I like it because it makes my rims look like they have a lot more lip than they really do haha.

She's working on an xB doing a burnout right now, but maybe I can talk her into doing the front of a box.

She really wants to sell her artwork. She's thinking asking $20 or so for an 11x14 charcoal drawing...Would you guys pay money for these? She's just warming up when it comes to drawing cars... so they're only going to get better. I'll post the xB burnout up when she gets finished.

Is she in school for art? I would never say anything bad about someone's effort to make art, being an artist myself. However i would like to offer some constructive criticism if i may. These are good starts and much better than most people could do. There are a few issues though. First, the perspective is way off. Proportions are also a little funky. This is common when drwing from a photo. Tell her to try drawing it from life and i'll bet she makes progress. If she wants to draw from photos tell her not to be afraid to use drawing tools like using a viewfinder or laying a grid over the photo. Some peopole think this is cheating but it IS how artists learn. Once you understand proportion, scale, and perspective you can draw anything. Again i think these are great and keep up the good work.

She just read your post and thanks you for the constructive criticism. She has taken some (2) art classes in college. She draws really good with a grid but enjoys drawing free hand more...even though it may suck (she said that not me). I think her stuff rocks but I'm not coming from an "artist" point of view.

My wife was 19...but that was almost 30 years ago.

She's right here as I write...s'all good.

Charcoal's pretty tricky to work with as I understand (ma-inlaw is an artist)

Drawings look pretty good from here. BTW - how cool is it that you wife likes to draw pix of your car for you?! You've got a good one!
