How soon does Scion start dealing w/production problems?
I'm still under the assumption that these are legitimate problems... but here it goes:
This would be my first new car purchase. I know that the first year of a car's production is prone to having some issues. The uncommon locking of the rear brakes I've read about, the creaking and popping of the sunroof area & interior in general, the possible problem with a delay in when the throttle is depressed and the car reacts due to a software glitch, the spotting in the glass.. etc etc... If Scion HQ knows about these issues, will they try to correct them mid-production during the 2005 tc run? What I mean is at what point will Scion start addressing issues from the factory? Will they really wait until the 2006 tC comes out before they fix anything, or would we start seeing minor tweaks and fixes in the cars we buy, say, a month from now (in September) as opposed to the ones purchased back in Late June?

It's always cheaper to do it right the first time, rather than going back and fixing it for people for free. That being sad who knows if they've correct the sunroof problem. If they are about to release a TSB to fix it for all cars, my guess is that it's going to be fixed on the production line, if it hasn't already.
I am sure that they have already fixed it. The Toyota production lines are the best in the industry. If one person on the line sees a potential problem then the line stops completley until the problem is resolved. As far as the sunroof goes, this was not anything that they could have seen right away, but I am positive that Toyota has made the corrections.
"the possible problem with a delay in when the throttle is depressed and the car reacts due to a software glitch"'
More info about this please? I have experienced something like this but only when I'm running low on gas.
