I found some snow tires on steelies that are on a 2002 Jetta. do you know if these will fit the tC?

 

I'm pretty sure Jettas are 5x100 also, so they should fit.

 

do you know what center bore jetta rims are? that matters right?

 

try subaru impreza wheels. someone here put 16" impreza wheels on their tC for the winter.

5x100 VW wheels have a 57.1 center bore. tCs have 54.1. i've never seen anyone put oem VW wheels on a tC. 5 lug 95-05 jetta/golfs are 5x100

 

what about volvo 850 steel rims?

 

The center bore is different. They will fit but your wheel will shimmy.

 

i think volvos are 5x108 (same as Ferrari)

 

If you really want steel rims go to tirerack.com. The sell them for around 200. Plus if you get tires too, they mount and balance them for you. so all you have to do is slap them on in the winter.

How about from the Matrix??

 

Matrix/Corolla are both 5x100.

 

Both come with base model steel wheels.

 

any subaru legacy/impreza (besides the 05-07 STi)
the jetta 95-05 wheels will work
dodge neon, cavalier
corolla/matrix, old mr2

a local junkyard could get you some steelies for around $10 each, and since they're steel, you can tell if they're already bent or anything, and if they are, you can bend it right back into shape.
