Default exhaust sound

hey, quick question for you guys. So i have the Oe-Rs exhaust from Megan and i noticed the other day that you really cant hear my exhaust. It sounds really lame. I was wondering how much the mid-pipe for it would add to the sound. Or if you guys could think of something else to help out.

Never heard the megan OEM.
but a 2.5 down pipe and Mid pipe would deff make it louder.
and a header would help too...lol

Its megan's new axle-back. They make a mide-pipe for it too. I just didnt have enough money for it when i got the exhaust. How much better would an intake make i?

I threw on an intake for a little and all i heard was the intake over the exhaust. It didn't promote any more sound out of the exhaust.

why would the downpipe make it louder? your not deleting anything, just helping the air flow better

resonance i think.
when i had my EVO2 and the rest stock, it was nice but barely audible, my second exhaust mod was an invidia down pipe, and not only did it open up my exhaust considerably but my Greddy got so much louder and deeper.

so do you guys think that it will make it sound better? or do i need to go with something like headers. I know that will help the sound, but im not sure they are legal.

the DP gets rid of the second cat and the huge factory resonator and replaces it with 2 smaller ones.

yes, buy the alphawerks headers, and then send me the extra one since you only need one

you mean the "MID pipe"

SWTC44
so all you have is the axleback muffler right...
forget the header, get your self a ZPI or INVIDIA Down/S pipe. install it then if thats not enough(it will be louder just a bit) then get your self a Megan or ZPI mid pipe.

but my advise is get the Down/S pipe first, and if that doesn't make it loud enough for you,
go to a muffler shop and get a custom 2.5 or 2.25 Mid pipe with a single 20" resonator on it.
the ommision of the small cat will help make it loud as well as free up a lil HP.
if they try to give you a hard time about removing the small cat, show them that the real cat is in the header.

PS: all my advise is based on you NOT planning on getting a header soon, if you DO plan to, you will need a minimum of 27 inches of resonator.
