Default Factory Sub blew already!

Ok I just got this sub put in like 3 weeks ago and now it sounds like a piece of paper is covering it in the front! Ill tell you this though, if you get one rip a data (mp3) cd and then go to your settings on the car and turn on the srt button and crank the bass to 4 youll love it,

I would think that it would depend on the quality of the MP3... some have more bass than others.

It sucks about your sub. Do you know how you blew it? Maybe by using the the bass at 4?

i have a bazooka tube bta10200, my stock speakers wont keep up with it so i have to lower my bass to 0 or -1 so it doesnt sound distorted at 40-45 volume setting. settings are srt on, ssp on xb, treble 5.

^ You actually listen to the stock speakers at 40-45? And they don't sound distorted to you when played that loud? Just curious, since that's what your post implies.

You guys better turn that crap down when you come through my neighborhood. It hurts my brain. I'll shoot your tires out. But seriously, don't you know that your subs are just extra weight? Haha.

yea for the price of the bazooka tube, you could prolly get a nice aftermarket set-up that would really blow the bazooka away....literally

i dont really know what kind of sound youre looking for or the space you need in your trunk but 230 prolly could have gottne more but thats just my opinion, not knocking your choice

If you don't want a sub that pounds and shakes mirrors, but instead want something that fits well, keeps trunk space, is easy to install and matches well to the stock speakers, then it's a good $200-ish dollars spent.
