Dealers--question relating to new xD and old xA
So the xD is coming soon enough and I'm sure there are xAs floating around still.
Have guidelines been set to move the xAs by lowering the price?
After much debate I think I'm going to return to the xA instead of getting an xB or the new models for myself. I'm coping with the idea of buying a used one, but if the prices will be dropped to move then I would be all about buying a new one instead.
If you have any insight on this please let me know! I MIGHT be buying in a month or two, but might be a little longer than that. Chance there would be some remaining then too?

There's nothing from Scion Corp, however dealers can and always have been able to mark them down, they just can't negotiate them down. They have to post their price on the car and the website.
Just call around and ask for the Scion Champion. And yes, the longer you wait, the less likely you'll be able to get exactly what you want, and don't expect a dealer to mark down a car that isn't on their own lot.

Not sure how many xAs are left, but as of now scion reports that there are 1135 xBs left. My dream is own both some day.

My buddy is scion certified and I asked him about this since I recently just bought my xA.
He said as far as he knew, there weren't going to be any markdowns on their lot for the xA.
I noticed that some tC's were marked down about $500-750 when I went to snag my xA, but nothing else. He hasn't heard anything about marking them down or any plans to. With that knowledge I went ahead and snagged up my xA before someone else did.
I think it'd be really hard to get some of this info out of most dealerships tbh... Through my affair of finding the right Scion for me, I went to 4 different locations, pretty much asking them the same thing.
Three out of the four locations, I was told "We've heard nothing about any new xD or a new xB coming out"
Even after I said "but they're on the scion website, you can look at them. There's even a video announcing the xD is replacing the xA" and they go "oh well we haven't heard anything official"
Maybe it's just the ones in my area? Hehe

I've said it before, and I guess it needs repeating: "Your local dealer is most likely the worst place to find out information on vehicles."
Your average dealer has a few pros that know how to sell cars w/o knowing anything about them, they just know people and their customers. Then there's probably a few dudes that can tell you everything. The rest of them are most likely job hopping commision junkies with addiction problems and newbies who got into the business because they like cars or because they've got no place else to go.
Stop worrying about what your local dealer has to say, and most definitely don't take their word for the gospel truth.
