well i talked to my guy at the dealership and i have 11,500 miles on my car and the front tires are past the tread wear mark..
he says that no one has ever gone through tires that fast on a tc
is this true?
what about some of you guys and girls,how many miles do you get on a set of tires?

 

That is very fast to trash a set of tires. I'll assume you were burning them through every gear, and that you take turns at 3x the normal speed.

 

yeah, driving like that will kill tread life on any tire. Of course some ppl go through tires faster than that but I would think it's b/c they are on a race track.

 

My stock tires barely lasted me 23K.

 

that's EXTREMELY fast to go through those tires. i'd say get a second opinion from someone unbiased (read: not a dealership or tire shop....like your friendly mechanic or somethin)....i have some serious doubts that you went through them that fast.

 

buy a tire tread depth gauge, about $2 or $3 at the local auto parts store. Measure the depth in the middle of the tire, and see what it is.. let us know.

 

His tires are bald, lol. there is no thread left.

Well, i have 39,000 miles, and ive gone thru 6 sets of tires...

Gotta love FREEEEEEEEEE tires for LIFE!

how do you get free tires?

 

a lot car dealers give free tires when a customer buy a new car.
I am sure they make their money back in the service department.

 

If your car is lowered it might be the camber toe in or toe out. But seeing this is obvious cuz wears way more on one side, by one side I mean inside or outside of the tire
