Default Scion xA and xB A/C cabin filter

The xA and the xB both are able to use the cabin filter for the Toyota echo. This will filter out the dust and pollen coming in from the outside air. The that you install it is behind the glove box. Here is the part #: 88568-52010-83. :D

Easy to install.. one drawback, no active carbon layer.

You can get them with the carbon layer from Toyota Ireland though.

If you guys check out echofans.net there's a few threads about DIY cabin air filters.

I always check out both sites.. obviosuly I'm on echofans, but you scion guys take different approaches to your cars and do some different projects, have different DIYs, etc. Between the two sites there's a ton of great info!

Just poking fun at someone's sig...

I used to have an Echo, but never thought of it as much but good transportation. Now that I've got my xB, I can't stop thinking about modding it... Go figure!

I hear ya.. I initially went in to pick one up becuase of the mileage, quality, etc.. then I saw one with the 2003 style kit and really liked it. Mine looks like a squished corolla sport, kind of like the xA - squished Matrix deal.

I don't think I'll be going too much further "dressing" it up.. sure all of our cars share a common heart, but I think the xBs definitely have more potential in that arena. That's no dig at the xAs either.. I love the xAs!

When it comes down to it though, for anyone with similar minds to our own, regardless of the car you buy, you're probably going to dress it up a little bit. Who could resist?!
