Hey guys. I haven't had time to be on here lately but I did get the HIDs in my fog lights. Here are the pics.

Yes? Wow. I'm suprised. Not on my xb. The fog lights still turn off when I use my high beams. Maybe a different year does it differently. Mine is a 2011. How about yours?

Nice DIY!

Did you have to buy a wire harness for the fog lights?

Not on mine. Pre-wired for fogs. I think they all are but I'm not sure.

I just did this! I didn't take out the right side of the lower shifter area or the shifter or that plate. just drop the front and the drivers side areas, pop the boot off, and taking out the hvac is a huge time saver. Once that white plastic is free, you can manuver it down and out the drivers side near the carpet, make your electrical mods, and curl it back up there. Took a whole 10 minutes, but I had a lot of other wires in my way from LED mods..

Mad props for figuring this out! I always rock the parking lights and fogs in my Grand Ams and love that look. Just got 3000K HID's and with my vent LED mods, this looks bad ___.

Do work son!

anyone have the pinouts for the factory fog switch? I got some used off ebay, installed them yesterday but no switch and I used my meter and figured out the green wires power on and off with the lights but I need to know if those wires just get 12v passed through the switch or if they are a negative trigger. Any input would be great. Thanks in advance.

Please Help URGENT. I did this mod tonight and like the pictures connected the two red wires coming from the relay to the illumination wire from the hazard switch. tested them out and nothing!! check the fog light fuse and it was blown so I replaced it. Now it works but only the passenger side fog light not the drivers side! and all the headlights work hi/low but no headlight on indicator light on dash, but fog light indicator on dash is working. Any ideas???? Could there be another fuse blown somewhere??

Hey @Lele73. I was going to run 3K HIDs too, but was concerned that the stock flood housing is the reflector type, instead of projector, and would thus not give a focused beam. Is it?

I posted about this today: http://www.clubxb.com/forums/showthr...538#post976538

Any thoughts on that? I'm pretty new to the HID game.

Also, regarding the OP's mod—dumb question—the OEM switch *is* still used, right? Meaning, I *can* turn the fogs off and just have parking lights on?

Thanks!
