Toyota suspends production and sales
Just heard on the news Toyota is suspending sales and therefore production lines of the models effected by the recall.

No models will be sold until Toyota can find a fix for the throttles/pedals getting stuck open. Big news! Talk it up.

Bad news not only for Toyota, but for their dealers, who are just recovering from the economic disasters, but for their customers (that's US!).

I think it's ironic that the only vehicles that fall under the accelerator pedal recall were made in the US (or at least the pedal assembly)...
The vehicles made in Japan don't have the problem.... just sayin.

Toyota has admitted that the materials are cheap in the CTS pedal which is why they're prone to the sticking. They aren't the same as the stuff in the Denso pedals. If you compare the Denso to CTS pedal the Denso is a much bigger and beefier unit.
