The sales part, yes. The tank part, possibly.

That would be a shame if they threw in the towel.
I don't follow this topic a hell of a lot, but to my knowledge, wasn't Toyota supposed to change up the looks of each car every couple years?
Possibly that's what biting them in the butt (for the tC of course).

The car hasn't changed in a very long time... Everywhere I drive though I see tons of Scions. No real reason for people to buy a new Scion when it looks just like their old Scion.

Uh ya... while I'm sure someone at a meeting somewhere suggested throwing in the towel, I think it is way too early for that. Like masterbB says here, plans are already in the works for the iQ and tC replacement. And if March 31 is the reveal date, I would call that rumor BUSTED!

Well Scion hasn't really been doing all that well in the pass year, but they have been picking up abit in the pass few months. Now with all this recall bs with most of the Toyota lineup it's really there time to shine. Scion should be doing just fine right now. The iQ and new tC will be debuting at the NY Autoshow this April with the iQ expected to come out this summer and the tC is going to be coming out this October.

The tC is one of Toyota's money makers. If The new tC turns out to be really nice and the iQ becomes their new cult car like the first gen box was I don't see Scion going away any time soon.

i know the reason the sales down my area suck is cuz they have old farts selling them that know nothing really about them, and they are lucky to keep more than 1 or 2 on the lot; that's their problem down in central il is that their only 3 dealerships in the area keep usually 2 or 3 TOTAL; so that's part of the reason the sales suck other than it needs to be changed up a bit on the tc end

I doubt Scion sales are as bad as some other companies. I barely see mini coopers on the streets anymore. I see scions everywhere.

Toyota is still number uno in the auto industry...however this sticky accelerated pedal situation has them burning money.

Maybe they should change the marketing angle. Buy a tC, unlike the Camry, our gas pedals actually work. Lexus and Scion were unaffected by the recall.
